Injectable Bio-Stimulators involve the use of PLLA (poly-l-lactic acid) to stimulate collagen production and address skin ageing concerns. The skin starts to regain its structure and volume, reducing wrinkles and reducing the loss of volume that occurs with ageing skin.

 Treatment Process

• Collagen Production: Bio-Stimulator is injected into the skin to promote collagen creation within and underneath your skin and fat pads.
• Poly-L-lactic acid: Made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), Bio-Stimulator works by filling the treated area with small PLLA beads. As the beads biodegrade the body produces new collagen at the injection site.

Aftercare Advice

• Massage: Massaging the treated area for five minutes, five times a day, for five days after the treatment is advised. This helps to spread the PLLA particles evenly throughout the skin.
• Swelling Reduction: Applying an ice pack to the treated area for the first 24 hours can help reduce swelling.
• Makeup: You can resume using makeup on the treated skin after 24 hours.
• Sun Protection: Avoid excessive sun exposure and UV lamp exposure during the three months following your Sculptra treatment. Protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays with sunscreen.
• Avoid Other Procedures: During the three-month Bio-Stimulator treatment period, it’s recommended to avoid saunas, spas, and other cosmetic procedures such as Laser or HIFU that could potentially affect the treated area.
• Common Side Effects: After the initial treatment, common side effects may include swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, bruising, bleeding, and lumps. These effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own.
• Lumps: Some patients may develop small lumps under the skin after treatment. Larger lumps can occur months later, particularly in patients with underlying abnormal immune system illnesses.
